Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. X Corinthians 13:6

Truth and love are not opposites. They perfect each other in the person of Jesus. Growth in Christ means learning to hold both never sacrificing one for the other.

When you sacrifice truth, you cannot understand love or Christ because both are inseparable from truth.

We are all sinners. But we should all strive to find the truth. Without striving for truth, we will never understand the character of Christ. 

And if we don’t understand His character, we will follow a counterfeit Christ, love in shallow ways, and live in deception no matter how sincere we feel.
