🇺🇸🗳️🔥Minnesota State Senator Omar Fateh, a Somali-American & self-described democratic socialist, has won the DFL party’s endorsement for Minneapolis mayor, defeating incumbent Jacob Frey at Saturday’s convention. Fateh pledged to raise wages, expand affordable housing & combat police violence. Frey blasted the event as “irregular,” saying voters—not delegates—should decide the race.
