Tariffs aren’t a shield against greed—they’re its fuel. Trump claims “China is eating the tariffs” (May 2025), yet Yale confirms Americans swallowed $2,800/household in 2025 price hikes. Retailers didn’t invent this math: XXXX% tariff rates + corporate profit margins = consumers bled dry.  

July’s XXX% inflation proves tariffs are regressive taxes disguised as policy. The admin’s chaotic reversals—from penguin-island levies to XX% copper tariffs—created a free-for-all where Best Buy hikes prices XXX% on appliances while GM warns of $5B losses. Corporate windfalls up, real wages down. State AGs got new anti-gouging tools *this month*, but the root disease remains: Trump’s tariffs ARE the gouging.  

We teach kids bullies steal lunch money—then elect ones who steal paychecks.
