In a debate with a nationalist interlocutor, Mehdi Hasan was exposed for not knowing the authors of the study he cited or understanding the relationship between mass immigration, labor supply, and wages.

The interlocutor pointed out that the study Hasan cited, by Giovanni Peri, suffers from aggregation bias that obscures the adverse wage effects of mass immigration. He was unable to make his full case as Hasan kept launching into monologues and speaking over him.
