@rhartman @Calypso_Benthos I mean, “Dark Knight Returns” was a hugely inventive comic in terms of style and form, not just in terms of content.

And it is very obviously in conversation with, say, the Adam West “Batman” television show as much - if not more - than any actual “Batman” comic.
