Early exercise doesn’t add special “extra” buy pressure,dealer already bought stock while short the calls. Exercise just swaps your option for the shares and lets the dealer reduce that hedge. 

Selling to close similarly unwinds. Plus, you usually burn the remaining extrinsic value. Net effect vs. just holding/selling is minimal; “exercise = bonus pump” is overstated.
