Once God joins X in marriage, they (man/woman) cannot break it. They can live separately if they so choose, today we call that action divorce and it is usually accompanied by ending a State legal contract of marriage (property rights). the X exception be for fornication (ie. not clean/defiled herself) and thus they were never really married or joined together by God.
