The average salary in Barking is £34,430 (Varbes)

Take home pay £2,295.48. 

Rent due on a X bed “affordable” @lbbdcouncil owned flat per month - £1,733 per month. 

Council tax to Barking and Dagenham council - £186

Energy bills to B&D Energy - £170

Remaining funds - £206. 

Total percentage paid to Barking and Dagenham council - XX% of take home pay. 

Not so affordable is it. 

(Also weird that the council appointed an agent that calls their affordable homes “Luxury”)
