Another F1 movie on the horizon, this time with the most unexpected star:

— India is set to respond to Brad Pitt's recent film with a new Formula 1-themed movie focusing on the career of former Indian driver Narain Karthikeyan. Following the success of the film starring Brad Pitt, a new project will spotlight Karthikeyan's journey.

— Narain Karthikeyan will have his own biopic, as revealed by Variety. The film, currently in development by India's Blue Marble Films, will be directed by Indian filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan. Producers Faraz Ahsan, Vivek Rangachari, and Pratik Maitra are also involved. Narayanan expressed his motivation for the project:

“Narain Karthikeyan's journey isn't just about racing. It's about belief — in yourself, your country, and a dream no one else can see. That's what drew me to this story.”

— Faraz Ahsan highlighted the challenges and skills required to transition from India's roads to Formula 1:

“India has some of the most dangerous roads in the world — just surviving traffic here takes skill. But what fascinated me was how someone like NK went from navigating those roads to racing at XXX km/h — a speed faster than a commercial aircraft at takeoff.”

— Ahsan also shared his persistence in securing the rights for the film:

“I've been after Narain for years to secure the rights, and after a few honest conversations and the right team coming together, he finally said yes.”

— Reacting to the news about the film on his own career, Karthikeyan reflected on the impact of motorsport in his life:

“Motorsport gave me everything. This film gives that story to the world.”
