Dan had spent years saving £20,000 for his own stem cell treatment. However, upon learning about five-year-old Brecon Vaughan, who was born with cerebral palsy and had never walked unaided, Dan selflessly donated his entire savings to Brecon instead. Just two years later, thanks to Dan and other generous donors, Brecon was able to walk on his own. When asked about his incredible decision, Dan simply stated, "I've had XX years of walking before my accident whereas Brecon has never known what it was like even for XX seconds. To me it wasn't a big thing to give the money to him. If more people did that sort of thing the world would be a much nicer place." When asked about his incredible decision, Dan simply stated, "I've had XX years of walking before my accident whereas Brecon has never known what it was like even for XX seconds.
