Not even having #Rihanna as #Smurfette under their umbrella helped #Paramount’s new animation #SMURFS at US #BoxOffice!
With terrible promo and mixed WOM, the animation grossed just 11M on 3-day opening weekend, the lowest for the franchise (vs #TheSmurfs’s 35.6M, #TheSmurfs2’s 17.5M, #SmurfsTheLostVillage’s 13.2M)

The animation with a 58M production price tag will have to pray for overseas markets to save it.
