I think it'd make plenty of sense.

Blazers have around $X million in tax space. RWIII/Thybulle for Gabe/Kleber/DK adds around $XXX million to their payroll.

DK gives them a young shooter which they need. Vincent can be a stopgap backup PG. Lakers add defense and a backup C.
