Based on available information on this fast, moving story-

It sounds Dan doesn’t think these Waymo vehicles can even be fixed? He believes they should be banned (same as Tesla FSD).   

Can’t blame him, hundreds and hundreds of critical safety failure videos can’t all be lying.   It’s sad that he doesn’t understand that both Waymo and Tesla FSD are on a path to improve every single day and that they both save lives.  

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dan for at least changing his tune and applying the same critical observations to both services.  In all fairness, it’s clear he did not have access to these hundreds and hundreds of videos in the past.

In some cases, people get entrenched and refuse to change their mind when new information becomes available.
We can no longer put Dan in that category.

Let’s be clear, Dan O Dowd may be completely wrong about vehicle safety,
But he can no longer be criticized for his long held personal vendetta against Tesla due to him losing money that caused him to be laser focused on personal hate towards one company only - which in turn  made him completely blind to other services making the exact same or worse mistakes than the ones he was criticizing Tesla for.
