"From many outlets in Portugal, they are reporting that Manchester United were working, have been working in the recent days on a deal for Viktor Gyokeres, on a hijack for Viktor Gyokeres.

For Hugo Ekitike people at Eintracht  expected Manchester United to enter the race for Ekitike when the deal collapsed with Newcastle. Man United were calling to be informed on the situation then the player wanted Liverpool.

I’m not aware of an official bid from Manchester United, I’m not aware of club to club talks from Man United. I’m aware intermediaries trying to suggest that possibility via Sporting."
