This video about $LINK is important to listen to. One of the biggest takeaways I gathered from this is that the test pilot Chainlink had with SWIFT was not a brief one, but a very in-depth one. 

-Time was taken to explore not only the technological side, but also the legal compliance side for institutions.

-Tools were made to allow over XXXXXX SWIFT connected banks to use their existing technology and natively plug into any major smart contract enabled blockchain they wanted regarding tokenized assets and data verifiability needs.

-Built in support for gas token usage and chain access is available and the complexities are abstracted away for trad-fi to transition their technology.

We have heard tons of marketing campaigns about bringing the next billions users "on-chain" from various organizations. The truth of the matter is that global adoption happens when those billion + people are using and benefiting from blockchain technology without even realizing it- the existing services that power their daily financial interactions are upgraded in the backend.
