Yes, family and background play a huge role in your success, but not coming from a wealthy background doesn’t mean you can’t succeed. And it definitely doesn’t mean you don’t deserve to reach the top. In fact, that should be your reason to push even harder. I work hard so that my children and grandchildren will enjoy the privileges I never had. That’s part of why I’m building wealth, and I am glad I started early. And I will do it. In years to come, my name will be heard. I also won’t compare myself to someone who came from wealth, someone who never struggled to fund their ideas or meet basic needs. Our journeys are different.
