If you struggle psychologically with "spending money" or "investing in yourself" when you have very little, it only gets harder (and more important) when you're rich. Because the more money you make, the more this becomes THE fundamental skill. When I was in my early-20s, the thought of spending even $XX on a book (let alone $200+ on a course or something) gave me so much anxiety. And for years, I couldn't do it. I lived in a constant state of scarcity. I was terrified of "giving my money away," and seeing the number in my (tiny) bank account go down—even by a small amount. Today? Today, our payroll is $250,000+ per month. We spend $30k-$50k on ads on a whim. On a DAILY basis, I watch huge chunks of money go in one account and out another. It's all energy. But that energy is what fuels businesses, gives people careers, supports students, empowers customers. That energy makes the world go 'round. So, start practicing now. Because it doesn't matter what level you're at, it's the same skill. If you have $XXX in your checking out and spending $XX on a book that might change your life feels terrifying, I promise... just add more zeroes. Because later on, when you have $1,000,000, you'll have to confront the same feeling risking $XXXXXXX on your next idea. When I was in my early-20s, the thought of spending even $XX on a book (let alone $200+ on a course or something) gave me so much anxiety. And for years, I couldn't do it.
