A passionate member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on the party leadership to scrap the current system that allows only delegates to choose the party's flagbearers and make key decisions. 

He argued that many delegates are disconnected from the grassroots and are primarily motivated by financial gain rather than the party's broader interests.
