His dream was no secret. He wanted to sit on the throne his father occupied, inside the brand-new Rs XXXXX crore Vastu-compliant secretariat. Legend has it that KCR, the master strategist, knew a little too much about Vastu. As per the secretariat’s “star alignment,” no son of a CM would ever become CM from that old building. Adding more cosmic comedy to the script, Konatham Dileep, the official storyteller of BRS, launched a book titled Future Perfect KTR. A linguistic masterpiece, if not a political one. For those unfamiliar with grammar: “Future perfect” is a tense used for something that would have happened by a certain time in the future — but hasn’t. Think about that. So here he is, KTR — always the next CM, never the CM. Elections come, BRS loses. Cabinets form, and KTR remains future material. The only thing perfect about his career is how perfectly he keeps missing the mark. Moral of the story? You can rewrite manifestos, demolish secretariats, publish glossy books — but you can’t vastu, PR, or grammar your way into becoming Chief Minister. KTR: Forever Future. Never Present.
