Ama Dablam, rising 6,812m in Nepal’s Khumbu region, is revered as the “Matterhorn of the Himalayas.” Its name means “Mother’s Necklace,” reflecting its sacred status to Sherpas. First climbed in 1961 by a team led by Barry Bishop, it remains a jewel on the trek to Everest.
