No—Russia didn’t change vote tallies or hack voting machines successful to change the outcome. What did happen? Russia used cyber warfare to try and sway the outcome. That included: •Running disinformation campaigns via troll farms •Hacking and leaking John Podesta’s emails •Hacking the Democratic National Committee •Targeting state election systems So when Tulsi Gabbard cherry-picks the part of the 2016 report that says Russia didn’t change vote totals, she’s technically right—but she’s misleading people by ignoring the rest of the story. And as for Obama? The idea that he “covered something up” is nonsense. He publicly released an intelligence report two months later that spelled all of this out. Bottom line: Russia didn’t hack voting machines and change votes. But they absolutely interfered to help Trump. Pretending otherwise is either dishonest or delusional.
