In Keir Starmer's Britain
You can be arrested for criticising Israel who is shooting starving Palestinians after starving them, despite there being three months of food just across the border not being allowed into Gaza by Israel
While others can spout lies and half truths about asylum seekers, creating division, suspicion, fuelling hatred and disrupting society without consequence
After the scandalous chaos of Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak, I had thought having a human rights lawyer at the helm of our nation would usher in a new era of change
What we've got is a Prime Minister that will sanction Russia for murdering Ukrainians but will not sanction Israel for murdering starving Palestinians, which they are starving
As awful as the corruption, cronyism and shamelessness of Johnson and Sunak was, it was expected, so while it was bad, it was just bad
But to see the former director of public prosecutions fail so miserably in being fair and decent, that hurts much more than Boris Johnson's parties in Downing Street, his lies and seemingly endless corruption
Even the former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is criticising Israel's ethnic cleansing. British human rights lawyer Keir Starmer? Silent.
Whatever good Labour might be doing is being eroded by Labour's unwillingness to treat Israel the same way it treats Russia, and the shameless way anti genocide protestors are being arrested while those sewing division in our society by misrepresenting facts, with barefaced lies, continue to divide our society
The only one creating an island of strangers is Keir Starmer, and what a pathetic legacy that will be
I never thought this is where we would be in 2025, yet here we are
