Magesi stopped attacking immediately, we got a goal a few minutes later, and we were able to finish that game in total control without any defensive concerns, and Mshini was playing X alone. Facts. X. Mshini was used in a double pivot vs Stellies and that Stellies midfield of Khiba and Nduli was outplayed, we didn't have a "marking" or defending problem with Mshini there. We controlled that midfield like we should. X. We went to play Cape Town City, another double pivot of Mshini and Cele started where Mokotjo, Serero, and Makaringe were outplayed in all aspects in that midfield. They could not breathe for the entire XX minutes with Mshini and Cele controlling everything and closing any passing patterns from that City midfield. No defending or marking problems with Mshini in that double pivot. X. We went on to play Pirates in the 2nd leg of the league and started with Maart and Mshini in that double pivot again, Pirates were chasing shadows with Makhaula and Mbatha in midfield and we finished that half with XX% control, we never had problems of marking in midfield still. They used Mofokeng as a XX but Mshini and Maart were controlling everything and denied Rele a single sniff of the ball. So, what is this assertion based on that Mshini can't mark, or we will have marking problems in midfield if Mshini is used in a double pivot? When was this ever true for it to be an issue or a suggestion? He actually makes this team play better both in attack and defense because he helps us take care of the ball better. Show me games where Mshini was an X in a double pivot, and we failed to win balls in midfield, and as a result, we were controlled by the opposition.... which games is your argument based on??
