A story from my 2021 presale / @Polkadot experience 

some good lessons in here for everyone.

Back in 2021, I locked a lot of $DOT and kusama to join parachain presales.

DOT was $XX at the time.

Metaverse hype was peaking, and I got into a project called BitCountry with a $5K allocation.

Just days later, people were offering me $30K OTC for those tokens.

I felt the FOMO and rejected.

Fast forward the project didn’t launch for years.

Metaverse hype died.

When the token finally went live, it was worth $3... and DOT was down to $X.

Got rekt hard not just from this one, but from many parachain presales.

That said, it’s great to see polkadot evolving

now with better builders and less scammy projects
