The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has voiced strong opposition to the newly introduced one cedi levy on every litre of fuel, describing it as “unacceptable” and claiming that such a measure is unheard of anywhere in the world.

He also expressed concern over the current pricing of gold by the GOLDBOD, noting that a pound of gold now sells for GHS 8,000, down from GHS XXXXXX during the NPP administration.
