There's a lesson here for the industry: FOCUS ON CONTENT... If your story connects and captivates, the audience becomes your biggest cheerleader... After all, there's no greater publicity than word-of-mouth. Right until the early 1990s, theatrical trailers, hand-painted hoardings, and posters at kiosks and cinema halls were the primary tools filmmakers used to promote their upcoming films. Now, #YRF – a banner that has consistently delivered hits since its first film #Daag [1973] – has taken a leaf out of that very playbook for #Saiyaara, opting for a traditional, content-driven approach over today's high-decibel promotional blitz. #YRF quite literally hid the actors of #Saiyaara from public view... There were no city tours, no media interactions, no podcasts, and no influencer collaborations featuring the cast before the film's release. The *only person* who spoke on camera before the release was director #MohitSuri... He kept it sharp and focused – no dramebaazi, no personal talk, no commentary on current affairs… just a no-nonsense, content-driven conversation around #Saiyaara. Even otherwise, #YRF let the content speak for itself – unveiling the trailer and songs strategically, and leveraging social media smartly... And yet, #Saiyaara has outperformed the big-ticket releases of 2025 at the #Boxoffice.
