@ovaistariq @RocksDB Gains won’t offset the cost (it’s a big project), but the C++ APIs, as they are, require a lot of care to be used correctly. I say this as user and reviewer of other people’s code using these APIs. Rust’s borrow checker gives safe guards that would allow more people to succeed.
