So the Clippers didn’t get better with Beal? After all the suns did pay him A LOT of money to leave. 

Teams buyout players for A LOT of reasons. None of those reasons are because they aren’t good enough to play for that team. That’s called WAIVING a player. 

Some teams buy out players to get below the apron & save money, some teams do it for flexibility purposes. Some teams don’t have a NEED for said player while other teams do. Lastly, some teams respect the humans that players are, and want to give them an opportunity to sign w/ a team of their choosing

End of story. They’re upgrades. And if you don’t think so, then you might wanna focus on a different sport.
