As long as you are able, do not abandon the pulpit (minbar). The legacy of Sayyid al-Shuhadāʾ (Imam Ḥusayn) is the honor of both our worldly life and our afterlife. God forbid anyone should think that sitting on the minbar or delivering sermons diminishes a person’s dignity.
