And that’s the issue. “Four years ago, he was in the convo with Book, Jaylen Brown, Donovan Mitchell… Now he’s the fourth option on a team that’s only getting older,” Perk said. “They’re not better than OKC, Dallas, Denver, Golden State.” The Clippers didn’t need another scorer past his prime. They needed grit, defense, and sacrifice. And Beal, in his current state, just isn’t that guy.
