It was on a razor’s edge, and I doubt there were more than 2-3 drivers on the grid who could comfortably handle that type of car over the long haul. Ultimately the PU issue and then de-tuning did it in regardless of anything on the chassis side. But I don’t think Ferrari seemed very willing to go back to that place, regardless of how much it was liked or how competitive it was at the top, because it didn’t fit their “two driver” approach.
