“Cuomo: not likable, effective. Mandani: very likable—who knows how effective?”

MSNBC’s Katy Tur, doing her part to rehabilitate Andrew Cuomo’s image for the NYC mayoral race, said the former NY Governor was “very experienced,” “very effective” and had “gotten a lot done.”

She credited him with “big-ticket liberal agenda items” like paid family leave and tuition-free SUNY/CUNY education: “He boosted the minimum wage to $XX an hour… enacted the nation’s strictest gun control law,” Tur told The Nation’s John Nichols. 

Comparing candidates, Tur said of Mandani: “It’s like he’s love-bombing New York City with all that he can offer — but is he going to be the boyfriend that continues to love-bomb if he becomes the husband?”
