#OTD in 1992: a Transair cargo Tu-154 [Registration ”85222”] crashes in Tbilisi (Georgia). All XX aboard and X on the ground die. On take-off, jet overran runway into an urban area, bursting in flames. Aircraft was overweight and improperly loaded, along with other breaches of SOP.
