It's why Pedro Porro out of all people played as a 3rd centre back, and Ben Davies in the 2nd half. I very much dislike it. Because it forces one of the wingers to play touchline. And the biggest issue under Ange was there were no natural touchline wingers. He NEEDS a X that's capable of deep passing. I could envision that to be MGW who's used in the pivot still. Because it allows both fullbacks to overlap, forwards to play inside, and the X to come deep and become the 3rd centre back in build-up. Otherwise he should stick to a 5-3-2/5-2-3.
