I feel like that wouldn't be a huge issue? The fans rarely come on in Apple Silicon MacBook Pros to begin with. And regardless, not necessarily, it's entirely possible they can engineer a better cooling system in a thinner chassis. Once again the iPad Pro is a great example: thinner but the cooling is MUCH improved over previous models.
