So I have a real question for you..
You bring up a very good point! 

Anything that deviates from Bitcoin is a distraction....

Then what is the lightning Network, it's sole purpose is to deviate from the base chain and do settlement outside of Bitcoin 

isn't that as a distraction from a scalability issue?

Bitcoins best feature is an altcoin?

What are your thoughts?
