you make a great point!
Thank you for bringing that up I have thought about that too!

The lightning network is a great solution if you're only value is fast transactions with your Bitcoin quick and cheap

But there are trade-offs now... 

This isn't a fix for everybody... 

Lightning is a fix for most 👍

Here is the acid test 

Take all your Bitcoin and store it on a lightning channel...

You will quickly realize that this has an added layer of risk 

That is because you are now handling with paper Bitcoin...

That might be okay for some but not for all. 

Again it has to do with values it's not wrong to you use lightning lightning works for most people but there are still some that will never touch lightning with a thousand foot pole.
