The argument from most sensible investors is not that $GOOG is finished. At least that’s not my point of view. I think Google is going to go through a very ugly transition phase where Google‘s largest source of profits (search) is going to see increasing decline in usage quarter to quarter. This is going to keep the stock suppressed for considerable lengths of time. 

But beyond that transition stage, yes, I believe Google will continue to thrive. My argument is that there is no need to own Google through this ugly transition period. The market always overreacts during such periods and sells off way beyond what’s justified. So there will always be plenty of oppurtunies.
