📜 GENIUS Act: the beginning of the end for Tether as we know it?

With the GENIUS Act now signed into law, Tether has XXX days to register USDT as a foreign issuer in the US, and up to three years to fully comply with strict requirements: 1:1 reserves in Treasuries, independent audits, and robust regulatory compliance.

Paolo Ardoino has already announced a new “made in USA” stablecoin. But the real question is this, can they evolve into a transparent entity… without unravelling in the process?

For years, Tether has operated as a black box, fuelling the ecosystem with liquidity many fear to be precarious. 

Now, the stage is shifting, either they adapt to the light or the light may well expose them.

The private digital dollar is being redrawn. The only uncertainty is who will survive the regulatory filter.
