🇸🇾 SYRIA PUSHES FOR PEACE IN SUWAYDA - DRUZE & BEDOUIN CLASHES MAY END IN 48H

Syria’s government says it’s entering “Phase Two” of a ceasefire deal in Suwayda. 

Deadly fighting between Druze militias and Bedouin groups has turned a southern province into a warzone.

Damascus has deployed internal security forces to stabilize the north and west countryside, and hopes to end the violence within XX hours.

Next up: Humanitarian corridors opening in and out of the city, evacuations of civilians & wounded, and hostage negotiations between both sides.

This is the worst intercommunal violence Suwayda has seen in years.

Gives to show how fragile Syria’s peace remains, even outside of full-scale war zones.

Now, the question is: can trust survive the truce?
