I hope you are correct, genuinely, that what will emerge from the old worlds ashes will be indeed greater than anything else in human history, FOR EVERYONE, because i am with you XXX% that the technological advancements are absolutely going to be able to create the closest real life version of a utopian society to degrees that not even a hundred years ago, would have been thought outlandish to be said a possibility.

The issue isn't the potential for this, it's that this potential can equally be applied to be the "final revolution" in which all aspects of human life right down to the DNA could be controlled, Manipulated at will, monetized, etc.

I'm a very big believer in what i call the Tool & Intent Philosophy which essentially just recognizes that all technology and all advancements of it and inventions resulting from it are neither Bad, nor good, and are at their very basic level, a tool. All tools do not make decisions one way or the other, (although, Ai could possibly be the exception here, and soon) but are used at the will of the tools holder/operator and the tool will be an assist to further an end, which is depending on the intent of the one using the tool.

A tool is able to assist with great evil or great good, it's dependent upon the intent of its user.

That said, are we sure that this new age of tools are going to be used for benevolence?

These tools to come, also have the potential to be so far beyond what we've seen, and have come upon the population so incredibly fast, with a single adult generation experiencing no internet or cellular communication, and in a XX year span (let's say XX years old in 1995, and XX Years old in 2035 for example) to globally available instantaneous information access, transfer, to virtually any and every subject, accessed by simply thinking, via silicon/neural integration with even the potential to have a fully immersive virtual interaction with a place or person anywhere else in the planet, which will rely on stimulation of these neurons and neural pathways being activated in a synthetic manner to trigger the sensory experience of the targeted experience or person...

That's extremely wild to think about.

And are we as a species, even evolved enough psychologically to handle such things in a responsible manner as a whole? We don't honestly know.

The old Jurassic Park scientist line "They were so excited to figure out tat they could, they never stopped for a moment to think about if they SHOULD."

Or something to that effect
