In 2005, while studying at a military college in London, Prince Al-Waleed suffered a severe brain injury in a car accident, leading to a coma that has lasted nearly XX years.

Despite medical advice to discontinue life support, his father, Prince Khaled bin Talal, has refused, expressing hope for his son's recovery.
