I think people need to understand differences in coins and how it replaces/compares to tradfi. Altcoin is too wide..
$BTC - money
Asset backed digital coins (ABDC) - $KAU (money), you can have other assets here such as metals, oils etc. basically commodities
Coins - These are basically stocks. All the coins that represent a company with a use case. $ETH, $SOL, $HBAR, $LINK etc
Stable Coins - Government Fiat currencies made digital. $USDT (government scams)
Memecoins - Private Fiat currencies $DOGE, $TRUMP (private scams) 
NFTs - these will be used for anything personal. IDs, driver licenses, deeds, pink slips, insurance contracts, warranties..
