A friend asked me yesterday:

“Isn’t DePIN just another hype wave, like the metaverse?”

💭 Fair question. But my answer,  from my personal point of view, is a clear NO — and here’s why:

🎮 The metaverse was a corporate dream. High entry cost. Headsets. Walled gardens. It looked great in trailers, but it was hard to access, hard to live.

⚙️ DePIN (@peaq @NodleNetwork …) is the opposite. It’s not about escaping reality — it’s about building infrastructure in the real world.

👉 Open to anyone.
👉 Low entry barriers.
👉 Real-world impact.

This isn’t something from a movie. This is something that works — now.

💡 From maps (@MapMetrics ) and connectivity to sensors and AI agents… (@teneo_protocol @Acurast @iGAM3_ai …) decentralized, alive, and evolving.

🌍 If we’re talking about the future, let’s talk about the one that’s already happening.
