Meet the 1966 Ford Fairlane GT-X Concept – the one-of-a-kind speed demon whipped up by the legendary Gene Winfield! 😄 This 5th-gen Fairlane Hardtop prototype was juiced with a roaring 427ci side-oiler medium-riser V8, rocking a dazzling pearl white coat with metallic blue pearl stripes that scream "look at me!"  Luxe metallic blue Naugahyde bucket seats – because why not ride in style while breaking necks? It strutted its stuff at the Detroit Autorama in Jan '66 and toured until early '67, leaving jaws on the floor. Rumor had it, like many '60s Ford concepts, it was doomed to a crusher’s fate post-show. But plot twist!
