The rush for the AI revolution is primed by corporations like Amazon, Facebook, Palantir, and Googles' extraordinary access to governments. 
The US and UK are ignoring regulation purely for profit motives, you will hear promises like 'we can cure all diseases', 'space travel will be available to everyone', etc. Companies don't even have to tell the public what they're up to. Trump's Big Beautiful Bill has a section where AI is banned from regulating AI for a decade.
