I think you’re misreading the ponzi.  The ponzi is in the public markets and the debt-for-equity swap that’s going on.  The ponzi is because they’ve nationalized the bond market and you can raise debt and buyback your shares without taking risk on investing in future growth. 

VC/Angel take huge risks to invest in new ideas. Sure there is some nefarious sociopaths and it’s not completely innocent but you need to invest in new tech otherwise the entire system implodes. 

Someone still needs to invest in the founders and first XXX employees.
