I’ve been seeing scenarios with a bullish outlook for $BORR future dayrates, utilization, and capital allocation for years, and frankly, they haven’t been of service to kong-term investors given the results to date. My article is not making the case that the stock isn’t cheap if everything works out favorably for the company. It simply highlights the downside risks for BORR stock that I don’t believe are widely appreciated, particularly by the bulls. Also, it states clearly that there are investment alternatives available today that I believe have similar upside potential but with lower risk. All that said, I hope things work out well for BORR shareholders. If broader macro fundamentals change for the better and make it clear that BORR can meet its debt service obligations in 2027 & 2028, I think its shares could be attractive as a long-term holding.
