With the recent news of $UNH, $ELV, $OSCR, and several other healthcare stocks. Let's analyze the healthcare sector through the S&P XXX index.

The first picture shows how different sectors have changed over time. Looking at the second-to-last, you can see how healthcare has lagged behind most other industries, primarily due to the last year and the last X years. The 10-year chart is more in line with how the index has done for a very long time, at a conservative estimate of around X% yearly.

The second picture shows how different industries behave during business cycles. These are interesting charts, and both are from Fidelity. Healthcare is a great recession sector, which is a good note for our allocations into this sector.

It's something to note as we invest in these healthcare businesses, and remember that these companies have good cash flow, and if invested in them, we should have a long-term vision for them!
