A people have to decide for themselves what system of government is good for them. Ask yourself where you first heard that Democracy is the best system of Government. It was in Social Studies class in primary school, then Social Studies in Junior Secondary, then Government class in Senior Secondary. Proper indoctrination! Repeat it long enough and you start to believe it. But proper education is supposed to teach you how to think and not what to think. When you question the concept of Democracy, you're told it is a Government of the people, for the people and by the people. Is that really true? Walk with me. In Democratic process, the powers that be, select two(always X even in a multi-party system) candidates that can protect their interest(what they flag as primaries) and before involving the populace in choosing one at the polling unit. If you are not involved in selecting the Presidential Flag Bearers, do you really have a say on who becomes the leader or it was chosen for you - preemptively? The powers that be in the USA are the deep states - part of whom are old generals with heavy influences, multi- billion dollar corporations, among others. In Nigeria, they are old military war heads, police chieftains, and monarchs - most of whom are wholly or partly controlled by the West. . . . The real crux of the matter is that, Democracy is a concept that you were indoctrinated into . You were taught to believe it is the best system of Government- all the while, all it does is to serve Western interest who can sponsor the installation or removal of a Democraric leader through state sponsored propaganda, uprising, non-states actors and political interference. Why must everyone practice Democracy? Why are some countries allowed to not practice democracy and others are forced to unless they want military intervention against their will? Ask yourself why African leaders that didn't play ball, died mysteriously. They are more stylish these days. It is media war and propaganda. Do a proper research on International Law and Relations and you'll see you're just the consequences of Western agenda.
